I usually make sour fish curry with ridge gourd and throw away the peels.But one day my house help Alisha told me to keep it and made an amazing chutney out of it.And I am telling you it was out of the world.So recipe credit goes to Alisha.I asked her from where did you learn this recipe,she smiled and said that its a regular thing that her mom makes at home.So she learnt it from her mother.At that time i was regretting why didnt I know this recipe earlier as i have been throwing away these yummy peels.So if you are also doing the same like me then start making this ridge gourd peel chutney in 10 mins.

Ingredients for Ridge Gourd Peel Chutney:

  • Peels of Ridge gourd -100gms
  • Mustard seeds (black)-1 tsp
  • Mustard oil- 1 tbsp
  • Garlic pods – 4 to 5
  • Green chillies -3
  • Salt to taste

Instructions for Ridge Gourd Peel Chutney:

  • Put oil on a hot kadhai and then add the mustard seeds and let it splutter.
  • Now add the ridge gourd peels it and then stir it for 2 to 3 mins.(You can keep the peels long or can cut into smaller pieces too)
  • When the peels are little tender take it out on a plate and keep aside.
  • Now for the grinding process we can use both eletronic grinder as well as traditional manual grinding stone.But i will recommend the manual one as chutney always tastes better in it.So take all the ingredients-the half fried peels along with mustard seeds,garlic pods,chilies,salt and grind it all into a fine paste texture.And its done.

Cupcakes may come in different flavors but nothing can beat chocolate cupcakes.This eggless cupcake recipe is very easy to prepare and bake.The cupcakes are very soft and moist inside. And the most beautiful part is, if you follow the instructions properly ,you will never have crack tops,it comes out perfect.You can do frostings with your favourite frostings.I prefer ganache and whipped cream frostings.So now you can treat your chocolate lovers with this easy recipe of chocolate cupcakes.Home-baked cupcakes are always the best.Now you don’t have to buy cupcakes from store,just bake them at home.

Recipe for Eggless Cupcakes



  • All- purpose flour /Maida – 1 and 1/2 cup
  • Cocoa powder – 3 tbsp
  • Coffee Powder – 1 and 1/2 tsp
  • Baking soda – 1 tsp
  • salt – 1/4 tsp
  • Refine oil – 1/2 cup
  • Vinegar / Lime juice – 1 tbsp
  • Castor Sugar – 1 and 1/4th cup
  • Hot water – 1 cup
  • Vanilla essence / rum essence – 1 tsp
Instructions for Eggless Cupcake
  • Add coffee powder to the hot water and dissolve it properly and let it cool completely in room temperature.
  • Now take a mixing bowl and sieve from the dry ingredients all-purpose flour,cocoa powder,baking soda and salt to avoid lumps.
  • In another mixing bowl,mix all the wet ingredients- coffee solution,oil,vanilla or rum essence,lemon or vinegar and lastly add the castor sugar.Blend with an electric beater till sugar dissolves.
  • To this wet mixture now add dry ingredients in batches and mix properly to get a smooth mixture.
  • Meanwhile preheat the oven to 170*C for 10 to 15 mins.
  • Take a muffin tray and line the cupcake liners.Now pour the prepared batter till they are 2/3rd full.
  • Once the oven is preheated,bake it for 20 mins (depends on size).
  • Once done,let the cupcakes cool down before frosting.

Achari Chicken in 20 mins

    Achari chicken, when you hear the name, don’t think I will put achar in a chicken gravy. Achar means pickle. Achari Chicken is a very easy chicken recipe.Very common ingredients are used in this recipe, which is always present in our kitchen. Spices are the key ingredients of this recipe, they give the real punch to it. There are key ingredients which give you that achari (pickle)taste.

Recipe for Achari Chicken

Ingredients   ACHARI CHICKEN
  • Chicken – 800gm (medium size pieces)
  • Onion – 2 medium finely chopped
  • Refine oil – 4 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder – 1tsp
  • Red Chilli Powder – 1tsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Onion seeds (kalonji)- 1 tsp
  • Fenugreek seeds – 1tsp
  • Fennel seeds – 1tsp
  • Plain curd – 300gms
  • Ginger garlic paste – 2 tbsp
  1. Heat kadhai, add oil to it.Once the oil becomes hot, add the chopped onions to it and fry it till golden brown.Then add the chicken to it and fry it for around 2-3mins.After that add ginger-garlic paste to it and nicely stir it.Add salt, turmeric powder, and red chili powder and fry the chicken for around 10 mins.
  2. Now add the plain curd (whisk it properly ) to it and let it cook for 10 to 15 mins till water is absorbed from the chicken in medium flame.
  3. The chicken is almost tender by now. Add onion seeds, fenugreek seeds and fennel seeds to it, stir well and put the lid and keep it for 1 to 2 mins.The chicken is now done, garnish it with coriander leaves and it is ready to serve hot with plain rice.

Easy Baked Yogurt Fish

Sometimes I am too lazy on a weekend and look for easy recipes.At the same time want it to be delicious too.I am a big time fish lover and find it very healthy.I love trying out more fish recipes.Most of the recipes that I have learned from my mom needs frying.But I was looking for something different with a different twist.And prepared this Baked Yogurt fish on a lazy weekend and it was loved by my entire family.Therefore I was the happiest person to see the happy faces of my family.So sharing the recipe to make some more happy faces at your home too.

Recipe for Baked Yogurt Fish


  • Fish Fillet (medium size) – 5 to 6 or if small in size then 7 to 10 pieces  Baked Yogurt FishBaked Yogurt Fish
  • Red chili powder – 1 tsp
  • Kashmiri red chili powder – 1 tsp
  • Lemon juice – 2 tbsp
  • Coriander Seeds – 2 tbsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Olive oil / refine oil – 2 tbsp
  • Yogurt – 1/2 cup
Instructions   Baked Yogurt FishBaked Yogurt Fish
  • Slightly roast the coriander seeds and grind it.
  • Take a mixing bowl and add the red chili powder, Kashmiri red chili powder, lemon juice, coriander powder, salt according to taste, olive oil and the yogurt.Mix everything together nicely and keep aside.
  • Now add the fish fillets/pieces to the mixture and mix well. Let the fish  Baked Yogurt Fishfillets/pieces marinade
  • for around 30 mins.
  • After 30 mins pre heat the oven at 220*C for 10 minutes.Meanwhile, line aluminum foil on the baking tray and grease it with oil.
  • Now place the marinated fish fillets/pieces on the tray with little gaps in between.
  • Bake it for 20 minutes in the preheated oven.
  • Your baked yogurt fish is ready to be served hot now.

Paneer Bhurji Masala gravy is a very easy, quick and mouth-watering vegetarian gravy.This recipe is very delicious and takes very less time to prepare.If you are looking for an easy and yummy recipe with ingredients which are always present in your kitchen, then this is the perfect one for it.

Recipe for Paneer Bhurji Masala Gravy

  • Crumbled paneer- 200gms
  • Ghee/Clarified butter- 4 tbsp
  • Tomato-2 finely choppedpaneer bhurji masala
  • Dry red chilli – 2/3 (optional)
  • Onion – 2 medium finely chopped
  • Capsicum – 2 small finely chopped
  • Tomato ketchup/sauce – 1 tbsp
  • Cashew nuts – 6 to 10 chopped (optional)
  • Lemon juice – 3 tbsp
  • Ginger-garlic paste – 2 tbsp
  • Garam masala – 1 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder -1 tsp

  • All-purpose flour/Maida – 1 tbs
  • Turmeric powder – 2 tsp tsp
  • Milk – as required
  • Cumin – 2 tsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Coriander leaves- for garnishings
  • In a hot kadhai, put 2tbsp ghee.Add 1tsp turmeric powder to it and then the paneer churns to it.Fry it for around 1 min in low flame.After that take it out and keep aside.paneer bhurji masala
  • Again heat the kadhai and put 2 tbsp ghee and 1tbsp butter.Add cumin seeds, dry red chillies and chopped cashew nuts and fry it a little.After that add the chopped onions, capsicums and tomatoes to it.Also, add the ginger- garlic paste and a little salt to it and fry for around 2 to 3 mins in medium flame.
  • Now add  1tbsp Maida, red chilli powder and Kashmiri red chilli powder and cook for another 1 min in low flame.
  • Add the crumbled paneer now and stir well.Add milk to it according to your gravy requirement.
  • Add the lemon juice , tomato ketchup and garam masala at this point and let it come to boil.Check salt at this point and add if required.
  • Let the paneer bhurji masala gravy cook for another 1 min and it’s done.
  • Take it out in a serving bowl and garnish it with coriander leaves.

TIP: Paneer Bhurji masala goes well with naans.I have made naan bites by cutting round shapes of the naan using a cookie cutter and then a layer of paneer bhurji masala on top and have garnished it with chopped onions and coriander leaves.You can find the recipe of “No Yeast Homemade Naan” here

No Yeast Homemade Naan in 40 mins

Naan,the Indian flatbread is the perfect partner of Indian curries.It always goes very well with all types of gravies.Whenever my family goes out to any restaurant for lunch or dinner,naan is a common choice of our by us.My hubby being a bread lover,always requests me to make naans at home.To fulfill his sweet requests, I started making naans at home.And now he likes homemade fresh naan more than the restaurant ones.These no yeast homemade naans are very easy to prepare at home and I am sure you all will like this recipe.


Recipe for No Yeast Homemade Naan in 40 Mins



1.All purpose flour/maida-300gm

2.Salt- to taste

3.Onion seeds(kalonji) -1 / 2tbsp

4.Plain curd-1/2 cup

5.Eno- ½ packet(plain)

6.Sugar – 1 1tsp

7.Hot water- as required

8.Refine oil- 1 tbsp


  • Sieve the maida and take it in a mixing bowl.
  • Now add salt, plain eno, sugar, and onion seeds and mix it well.
  • Make a well in the middle of the dry ingredients and add the refined oil and curd.Mix it well and start kneading it into a soft dough.
  • While kneading if you find the dough little dry, then add hot water to make it soft and little refine oil.
  • After kneading the dough, let it rest/ proof for minimum 20 mins and cover it with a cling film or clean wet kitchen towel to avoid drying out of the dough.
  • The dough will rise after 20 minutes and become soft.Now make medium equal balls of the entire dough according to your desired size.
  • Roll the dough balls like a chapatti but a little thick in size.You can either keep them round in size or cut into small triangular shapes.
  • Now place them on a hot tava and cook partially both sides of the naan.After that place, the partially cooked naan directly on fire with the help of tongs and cook them till they are light brown and little charred.
  • Your naans are ready and you can serve plainly or apply butter and ghee too.You can avoid the above step on fire and cook the naans only on the tava also.

Freshly baked Burger Buns in 30 mins is an absolute bliss.Make your own burgers at home with very few ingredients.These homemade buns are very fluffy that tastes crispy outside and soft inside.

  • All purpose flour/maida- 1 and 3/4th cup
  • Instant yeast – 1 tbsp
  • Salt – 1/2 Tsp
  • Sugar – 2 tbsp
  • Vegetable oil /olive oil – 2 tbsp
  • Water -1/2 cup and 1 tbsp
  • Sesame seeds – 1tbsp(optional)
  • Milk- as per requirement for brushing



  • Take a mixing bowl and add the flour, instant yeast, salt, and sugar.Mix everything lightly.
  • Add oil and water as per the measurements above.Knead everything into a smooth dough for  5 to 7 Mins.
  • In the meantime preheat the oven for 10 mins at 200*C.
  • Now make 6 equal balls of the dough and place it on a greased baking tray.Keep space in between the dough balls.Cover the tray with a cling film and let it rise for 10 Mins.
  • After 10 Mins of proofing lightly brush with milk and sprinkle sesame seeds on top (optional)
  • Now, bake it at 200*C for 20 mins till the buns are nice golden in color.By this time your home will be filled with the aroma of baked buns.

In weekends we like to prepare easy and quick recipes.Capsicum and aloo(Potato) combo sabzis are the best.These North Indian sabzis are easy to prepare.Capsicum and aloo Masala in 20 mins is my favorite vegetarian sabzi and it is just delicious.

Recipe for Capsicum and Aloo Masala in 20 Mins


Capsicum and Aloo Masala in 20 mins


  • 1.Onions- 4 to 5  (cut in big size)
  • 2.Capsicum- 1 (Big Cubes)
  • 3.Boiled and deep fried potato pieces- 250 gms
  • 4.Tomato- 1 big roughly chopped in small size
  • 5.Turmeric powder- 2 tsp
  • 6.Coriander powder- 2 tsp
  • 7.Jeera/Cumin (whole)- 2 tsp
  • 8.Chilli powder- 2 tsp
  • 9.Refine oil- 2 tbsp
  • 10.Dry red chili- 1 or 2
  • 11.Salt- to taste
  • 12.Garam masala powder- 1 and half tsp
  • 13.Sugar- half tsp
Cooking Directions:
  1. Heat Kadhai and add 1 tbsp refine oil.Once the oil is hot add add 1 tsp jeera, roughly chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, chilli powder, dry red chilli and1 tsp coriander powder.Stir well till the tomatoes are little soft.Now transfer this to a plate and let it cool down first and then grind it to a fine paste.
  2. Reheat the kadhai and add 1tbsp refine oil.Once the oil is hot add 1 tsp jeera and then add the above tomate paste and stir well.Now add 1tsp turmeric powder,1 tsp coriander powder,1 tsp chilli powder and stir well again.Add the onion and capsicum pieces and mix it well.After the onions are bit tender add salt to it.Now add the deep fried potatoes and mix it well.
  3. Lastly add sugar and garam masala to it and mix it well.And your delicious Capsicum and Aloo Masala is ready.

  • Cornstarch – 1/8th cup or 2tbsp
  • Chocolate Pudding in 15 minutesVanilla essence-1tsp
  • In a medium pan, whisk together the sugar, cocoa cornstarch, and salt.
  • Add milk into the mixture and heat to boiling.Keep stirring continuously.
  • Once it starts boiling, keep stirring until it reduces and becomes little thick.This will take around 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Prepare the pudding in medium flame and once it thickens, remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla essence.
  • Transfer it into your desired serving bowls and refrigerate it for half an hour.
  • Chocolate pudding is ready to serve chilled.Enjoy!
